Former C4CS Project Leader Wins MacArthur “Genius” Grant

pictureThe Center for Community Stewardship is excited to announce that Anne Bastin, who led a C4CS project called Timeslips, has won a MacArthur Foundation fellowship – one of 23 people nationally.

Timeslips was a C4CS fiscally sponsored project at C4CS for a year and a half in 2013/2014. It went on to apply and receive 501(c)3 status in 2014.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that: “Over the past two decades, Basting has led a series of collaborative local efforts designed to counteract social isolation and cognitive impairment among the elderly with creativity, beginning with “TimeSlips,” which the MacArthur Foundation called her breakthrough project.” Read more here: Theater artist Anne Basting wins MacArthur Foundation ‘genius’ grant.
